Position Overview for the Healthcare Technical Analyst:
- A clinical data analyst who works on a high-priority, deadline-driven Medicaid project. The core work is making sure HIE clinical data correctly supports Medicaid work requirement exemptions under HR1, the 2025 federal law that added Medicaid work requirements. In practice, that means validating and troubleshooting clinical data, helping refine the API that sends that data to NCFAST (the state’s Medicaid eligibility system), and testing data flows with SAS, J2 Interactive, and NC Medicaid teams through production. After that, they’ll scope and gather requirements for new HIEA projects.
Required Skills for the Healthcare Technical Analyst:
- Clinical terminologies: SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CPT, and RxNorm. They’ll need to know which codes indicate an exemption condition.
- HL7 v2, C-CDA, and FHIR, especially FHIR APIs and how clinical data moves between systems.
- Data validation and troubleshooting: SQL querying, tracing data issues from source to destination, and root-cause analysis.
- Testing and implementation: API and integration testing, UAT, defect tracking, and supporting releases to production with vendor teams.
What’s in it for you?
- Competitive compensation package
- Full Benefits; Medical, Vision, Dental, and more!
- Opportunity to get in with an industry leading organization
