IDR is seeking a Software and Controls Engineering Manager to join one of our top clients for an onsite opportunity in Suwanee, Georgia. This role is integral to leading product development initiatives in a technology-driven industry, focusing on firmware and cloud software components within a collaborative engineering environment.
Position Overview for the Software and Controls Engineering Manager:
- Lead and manage a team of software and controls engineers specializing in firmware and cloud-based solutions.
- Oversee the development, integration, and testing of products from inception to production release.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product requirements and implement innovative technical approaches.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, quality assurance, and technical documentation.
Requirements for the Software and Controls Engineering Manager:
- Demonstrated experience with firmware development and/or cloud software development.
- 6-10 years of software development and management experience related to product development.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record in organizing and managing technical teams, including negotiating specifications, estimating schedules, and budgets.
