IDR is seeking a Windows Administrator to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, TX. This role involves providing advanced operational and technical support for enterprise Windows Server environments within a large government organization, ensuring system stability, security, and automation across development, test, and production environments.
Position Overview for the Windows Administrator:
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Windows Server environments, including physical and virtual servers.
- Support SCCM operations, including operating system deployments, patching, software distribution, and configuration compliance.
- Perform vulnerability remediation activities in coordination with security teams, including patching, hardening, and validation of remediation efforts.
- Administer and support Active Directory services, including user and group management, Group Policy, DNS, and OU structures within a large enterprise environment.
- Develop, maintain, and execute PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, remediation activities, reporting, and operational workflows.
Requirements for the Windows Administrator:
- 8+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments in a large enterprise or government organization.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SCCM, including deployments and patch management.
- 5+ years of experience administering Active Directory in a multi-domain or enterprise-scale environment.
- Strong experience with vulnerability remediation and security patching in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.
