IDR is seeking a Middleware System Admin/DevOps Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Des Moines, IA.
This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic, enterprise-level environment that leverages cloud technologies and containerized applications to optimize middleware operations and automation. The organization is focused on delivering scalable, reliable solutions for mission-critical business systems.
Position Overview for the Middleware System Admin/DevOps Engineer:
- Manage and support enterprise middleware platforms, primarily built on JBoss EAP, across multiple environments.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot high-availability clustering and failover solutions.
- Automate deployment pipelines and integrate middleware with Azure DevOps CI/CD workflows.
- Implement proactive monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning to ensure platform stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize middleware operations, documentation, and best practices.
Requirements for the Middleware System Admin/DevOps Engineer:
- Strong experience with JBoss EAP 7/8.x administration in standalone and domain modes.
- Proven expertise in Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and artifact management.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting mod_jk and mod_cluster integrations.
- Knowledge of environment provisioning, deployment automation, and release management.
- Ability to develop scripting solutions for operational automation and system health checks.
