IDR is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Broomfield, CO. This organization operates within the finance and accounting sector, focusing on delivering top-tier financial services. Position Overview for the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting:
- Lead the corporate accounting team in managing the month-end and quarter-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies while researching and applying complex technical accounting guidance
- Oversee expense accounting and accruals, including complex estimates, allocations, and reserves
- Drive process improvements to enhance scalability, close optimization, and system enhancements
- Develop and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
Requirements for the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in a public company and/or Big 4 environment
- Strong expertise in expense accounting and accruals, including complex estimates, allocations, and judgmental reserves
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP with the ability to research and apply technical accounting guidance to complex transactions
- Proven people leader with experience managing and developing accounting teams through monthly and quarterly close cycles
