IDR is seeking a Remote Risk Adjustment Coder to join one of our top clients in our client's location. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Remote Risk Adjustment Coder:

  • Conduct coding trainings and educational sessions to support physicians, mid-levels, and support staff in understanding and capturing Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCCs).

  • Perform both prospective and retrospective chart reviews, provider assessments, and deliver one-on-one and group education.

  • Abstract diagnosis codes from notes to educate providers and staff on the importance of accurate HCC coding.

  • Prepare targeted educational materials tailored to specific practice needs and act as a coding resource, responding promptly to inquiries.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to establish Electronic Medical Record (EMR) access across all practices.

Required Skills for Remote Risk Adjustment Coder:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is mandatory.

  • 2-5 years of experience in risk adjustment coding.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ownership of ICD-10 coding books is highly preferred.
