IDR is seeking a Project Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This role is with a company that specializes in IT operational projects, focusing on coordinating and managing project activities to ensure successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
Position Overview for the Project Lead:
- Conducts IT project coordination activities including project management, planning, monitoring, and status reporting
- Leads small IT operational projects with cross-functional teams and their managers to achieve project goals
- Builds strong relationships across various IT teams to facilitate resource requests and collaboration
- Manages key project documents such as scope, schedule, communication, budget, change approvals, training, and contingency plans
- Communicates project goals and progress effectively to stakeholders
Requirements for the Project Lead:
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing IT operational projects from initiation to closure
- 5+ years of experience creating and managing key project documents, including scope, schedule, communication, budget, change approvals, training, contingency, and support plans
- 5+ years of experience communicating project goals and progress to stakeholders
- Technical writing experience for business documentation around a regulated industry
- Proficient with MS Project to track progress of tasks, deliverables, and milestones
