Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Process Improvement Consultant:
The Process Improvement Consultant will be a strategic contributor leading and executing key operational and compliance enhancements across the financial department, aligning their processes with Internal Auditor recommendations while driving digital modernization, policy development, and organizational optimization.
- Lead the end-to-end redesign of departmental forms to be digital, fillable, and desktop-compatible, eliminating manual submission processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Revise and update the Financial Services Manual in accordance with Internal Auditor recommendations, ensuring regulatory compliance and procedural clarity.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures aligned with audit standards, enhancing internal controls and legal compliance.
- Refine PowerPoint presentations for internal and external use, improving clarity, consistency, and alignment with strategic messaging.
- Realign the financial department’s intranet and public-facing web pages by restructuring navigation with dropdowns and user-friendly access for both internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of departmental workflows, providing actionable recommendations to optimize operational sequencing and interdepartmental efficiency.
- Advise executive leadership on structural changes needed to improve departmental performance, including realignment of responsibilities and reporting lines.
Provide expert guidance on the legal considerations of policy and procedure development to ensure full alignment with Internal Auditor expectations and applicable regulations.
Required Skills for the Process Improvement Consultant:
- 3+ years’ experience serving as an inter-departmental liaison providing recommendations on efficiencies based on audit findings
- Professional experience developing and implementing new policy frameworks to comply with audit recommendations
- Professional experience creating and updating policy manuals
