IDR is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. In this role, you’ll support a growing, distributed infrastructure environment for an organization in the logistics/transportation industry, spanning multiple facilities in the region. You’ll work hands-on across Linux and Windows servers, Hyper-V virtualization, and AWS cloud services while partnering with operations to keep critical systems running reliably.
Position Overview for the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer:
- Own day-to-day administration and troubleshooting for Linux and Windows server environments in a hybrid (on-prem + cloud) footprint
- Support and maintain Microsoft Hyper-V hosts/VMs and assist with virtualization operations across sites
- Work with AWS services (e.g., compute, storage, networking) to support and optimize cloud workloads and connectivity
- Provide onsite/field-based infrastructure support across multiple regional facilities, including occasional physical installs and hardware support
- Contribute to infrastructure improvements including patching, monitoring, documentation, and reliability/security best practices
Requirements for the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer:
- Strong Linux server administration experience (install, configure, troubleshoot, patching, performance)
- Proven Windows Server administration experience (operations, maintenance, troubleshooting)
- Hands-on Microsoft Hyper-V experience (VM provisioning, management, and support)
- AWS infrastructure experience supporting core services and networking concepts in a production environment
- Ability and willingness to travel locally between facilities and perform hands-on physical infrastructure work as needed
