IDR is seeking a Manager, F5 & Application Delivery to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Englewood, Colorado. In this role, you will lead the team responsible for the availability, performance, and security of an enterprise F5 application delivery and web application firewall environment. You’ll drive SLA-focused operational outcomes across a hybrid delivery model while modernizing the platform through automation and software-defined/SaaS approaches.
Position Overview for the Manager, F5 & Application Delivery:
- Lead and develop a team supporting enterprise F5 application delivery and WAF services, including day-to-day operations and continuous improvement
- Own platform reliability outcomes (availability, performance, security), including incident, problem, and change management in an ITIL-aligned environment
- Partner with stakeholders and IT leadership to align service delivery, priorities, and operational standards to business goals
- Manage vendor relationships and offshore managed-services delivery, including escalation management and service quality oversight
- Drive modernization and automation initiatives across the application delivery ecosystem (process, tooling, and engineering practices)
Requirements for the Manager, F5 & Application Delivery:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in medium to large enterprise network/infrastructure environments
- 2+ years of people-management or team-lead experience (hiring, mentoring, performance management, and development)
- Strong F5 BIG-IP expertise across LTM, DNS/GTM, WAF/ASM, SSL offload, and DR/BC at a leadership/strategy level
- Experience operating within SLA-driven IT service management practices (incident/problem/change) using ServiceNow or a similar platform
