IDR is seeking a Identity & MFA Modernization Manager to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role will lead the technical delivery of an enterprise authentication modernization program, transitioning multiple critical applications from Duo to Microsoft Authenticator and Microsoft Entra ID. You’ll partner across identity engineering, application owners, operations, and support teams to plan phased cutovers, reduce risk, and improve the organization’s MFA security posture.
Position Overview for the Identity & MFA Modernization Manager:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a Duo-to-Microsoft Authenticator / Microsoft Entra ID modernization across multiple enterprise applications.
- Drive discovery, solution approach, and rollout planning (pilots, phased cutovers, validation, rollback strategy, stabilization).
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across identity/security engineering, application teams, IT operations, and service desk.
- Manage risks and dependencies tied to complex user/device scenarios (e.g., shared workstations, users without mobile capability).
- Produce clear delivery artifacts (roadmaps, milestones, status reporting, issue/risk tracking, decision logs).
Requirements for the Identity & MFA Modernization Manager:
- Hands-on experience leading technical delivery for IAM / enterprise authentication and MFA initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and Microsoft Authenticator in real-world deployments.
- Proven experience planning and executing authentication migrations, including pilots, phased rollouts, testing/validation, and cutover governance.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and translate technical risk/impact to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong delivery management skills (dependency tracking, risk mitigation, escalation, and end-user/support readiness planning).
