IDR is seeking a Programmer Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves supporting business operations through software development, testing, and maintenance of applications within a collaborative team environment. The organization operates within the technology and higher education sectors, focusing on innovative software solutions and system enhancements.
Position Overview for the Programmer Analyst:
- Develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications aligned with business requirements.
- Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
- Supervise or lead the development of new systems, manage changes to existing systems, and control system interfaces.
- Initiate complex feasibility studies and provide strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members, including junior and experienced developers, to support project goals.
Requirements for the Programmer Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant full-time paid experience.
- Experience thinking logically through programming challenges and explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Strong business acumen with effective communication skills.
- Nice to Have: Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or a related field.
