IDR is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to join one of our top clients for Nashville or Phoenix locations. This role involves supporting healthcare payment posting processes within a dynamic revenue cycle environment, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of patient accounts and payer transactions. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering high-quality financial services.
Position Overview for the Accounts Receivable Representative:
- Summarized position focused on healthcare payment posting, reconciliation, and denial resolution.
- Supporting billing and accounting functions within a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate posting of payments.
- Use of EMRs and payment systems to interpret remittances and resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to process improvements and maintain data integrity in all postings.
Requirements for the Accounts Receivable Representative:
- 3–5 years of experience in healthcare payment posting (manual and electronic).
- Strong knowledge of EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, COB, and 835 file interpretation.
- Deep understanding of payer rules (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Workers' Comp).
- Familiarity with contractual adjustments, proration logic, and secondary/tertiary payment rules.
- Prior experience with complex denial resolutions and reconciliation of unapplied payments.
