IDR is seeking a Forensic Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Texas. This role involves supporting a time-sensitive audit by reviewing historical financial transactions across multiple legacy systems. The position offers the chance to work on critical financial investigations within the education sector.
Position Overview for the Forensic Accountant:
- Assist with reviewing and analyzing historical financial records for a high-profile audit.
- Support the audit process by identifying relevant documentation, including ledger entries, invoices, and payments.
- Collaborate with technical data analysts to locate, retrieve, and validate archived financial data from legacy ERP systems.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records while responding to audit inquiries within strict deadlines.
- Utilize forensic accounting skills to support financial transparency and audit objectives.
Requirements for the Forensic Accountant:
- Experience reviewing historical financial transactions, accounting records, and supporting documentation.
- Familiarity with financial data housed in ERP systems, including legacy platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in Excel and large data set analysis.
- Experience supporting financial audits, gathering evidence, and responding to auditor requests.
- Must have experience working with K12 financials in Texas (working with TEA).
