IDR is seeking a AI-Native Software Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Rosemont, IL. This role focuses on leveraging AI agents to transform the software development lifecycle within a forward-thinking organization in the technology industry. The team is dedicated to building innovative enterprise applications that incorporate AI-assisted workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
Position Overview for the AI-Native Software Engineer:
- Build, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, SQL, and related technologies.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools to accelerate software delivery.
- Review, validate, troubleshoot, and improve AI-generated code.
- Work with Product Owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements and workflows.
- Participate in establishing and improving AI-native development workflows, agent instructions, and engineering practices.
Requirements for the AI-Native Software Engineer:
- Professional experience developing and supporting production applications in a software engineering role.
- Working knowledge of C#, .NET/ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, with the ability to review and troubleshoot code in this environment.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar, and integrating them into development workflows.
- Ability to identify incorrect logic, troubleshoot problems, and review AI-generated code with sound engineering judgment.
- Experience translating business needs into functional software solutions while considering end-user impact.
