IDR is seeking a GIS Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Addison, TX. This role supports the Public Works and Engineering Department by managing GIS data, creating maps, and performing spatial analysis to support infrastructure management and operational decision-making. The position involves a combination of office-based GIS work and occasional field data collection.
Position Overview for the GIS Analyst:
- Maintain and update GIS databases and maps for municipal infrastructure such as water, wastewater, streets, and stormwater systems.
- Collect and verify field data using GPS/GNSS equipment to ensure accuracy of infrastructure assets.
- Support GIS applications, web maps, dashboards, and mobile tools.
- Assist with GIS projects, asset management, and infrastructure mapping.
- Collaborate with multiple departments including Public Works and Engineering to facilitate data-driven decision making.
Requirements for the GIS Analyst:
- Associate degree in GIS, Geography, Surveying, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of GIS experience.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and GPS/GNSS data collection.
- Experience with enterprise GIS systems and spatial database management.
- Experience with Trimble GPS field data collection.
