IDR is seeking a SMO Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to the strategic sourcing and vendor management processes within a large organization focused on technology and IT services. The position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and optimizing supplier relationships to maximize value and minimize risk.

Position Overview for the SMO Analyst:

  • Acts as an IT sourcing subject matter expert using the sourcing methodology for planning, due diligence, contract negotiations, and governance processes for IT spend.
  • Conducts spend analysis, identifies opportunities, and leads complex sourcing events.
  • Develops sourcing strategies to maximize value and reduce organizational risks.
  • Coordinates request for proposals, negotiates contracts, and collaborates with Legal on contract terms.
  • Monitors market dynamics and communicates changes to stakeholders, ensuring adherence to corporate standards.

Requirements for the SMO Analyst:

  • Must have excellent written communication skills to effectively and accurately convey detailed and complex information regarding contract specifications, policies and procedures to consultants/contractors and internal clients.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing.
  • Proven experience supporting complex sourcing events, RFP processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience working with IT vendors and technology contracts.
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise-level sourcing or procurement transformation initiatives preferred.
