IDR is seeking a IT Category Manager, Global Procurement to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Glen Mills, PA. This role involves developing and executing global IT procurement strategies to optimize spend and drive efficiencies, working closely with stakeholders across multiple regions. The position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in negotiating large enterprise software agreements and managing high-value contracts within the IT sector.
Position Overview for the IT Category Manager, Global Procurement:
- Develop and implement IT category strategies aligned with global organizational goals to optimize spend.
- Build strong relationships with internal IT stakeholders to understand global spend patterns and identify value opportunities.
- Lead negotiations and manage contracts for software and Cloud services, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Maintain expert knowledge of global supply markets, market dynamics, and contracting standards in IT procurement.
- Collaborate across internal teams including Legal, Information Security, and Privacy to ensure best deals and policy adherence.
Requirements for the IT Category Manager, Global Procurement:
- Proven experience in managing at least $50 million in contract spend.
- Demonstrated success negotiating large-scale enterprise software agreements such as SAP, Microsoft, or ServiceNow.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of IT procurement experience with a focus on software and outsourcing contracts.
- Strong understanding of IT protocols, market dynamics, and contracting standards across regions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
