IDR is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Suwanee, Georgia. This role supports a leading organization in the cybersecurity industry, focusing on endpoint security, vulnerability management, and security operations.
Position Overview for the Senior Cyber Security Engineer:
- This role involves managing enterprise security systems with a focus on endpoint detection, response, and patch management.
- The engineer will collaborate with various IT teams to ensure security policies are effectively deployed and maintained across multiple platforms.
- Responsibilities include threat intelligence execution, incident response, security reporting, and ensuring compliance with organizational change management protocols.
- The position requires hands-on technical expertise with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Tanium, and various operating systems.
- The role is primarily onsite, offering an opportunity for a senior-level professional to impact security strategies directly.
Requirements for the Senior Cyber Security Engineer:
- Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint at scale
- Strong Tanium experience (patching, asset discovery, agent remediation)
- Extensive proficiency managing security across Windows environments, with some exposure to Linux and AIX
- Proven track record in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting endpoint security tools
- Demonstrated ability to handle incident remediation, vulnerability assessment, and security reporting
