IDR is seeking a Support Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This role involves assisting with computer and docking station refresh projects, including imaging, replacing computers, and migrating data. You will be part of a team supporting agency-specific projects and technical requirements.
Position Overview for the Support Technician:
- Assist in manual labor and support related to computer hardware refresh initiatives.
- Perform imaging, replacement, and data migration tasks according to agency procedures.
- Collaborate with a team including subject matter experts and project managers.
- Support hardware and software upgrades, troubleshoot, and maintain computer systems.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical assistance to end-users.
Requirements for the Support Technician:
- Experience handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of personal computers, components, printers, and microcomputers.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a professional environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade hardware and software systems.
- Experience using WordPerfect, MS Office Suite, and a working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
