IDR is seeking a Puppet & Cloud Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves architecting and maintaining hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure, with a focus on Puppet configuration management, automation, and cloud services across AWS and Google Cloud. The company operates within a highly technical, environment-driven industry, emphasizing operational excellence and scalable solutions.
Position Overview for the Puppet & Cloud Engineer:
- Responsible for designing, automating, securing, and maintaining infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms and on-premise environments.
- Focuses heavily on Puppet configuration management, automation pipelines, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Collaborates on building unified automation patterns, ensuring compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Manages complex systems and provides Tier 3 support for Linux and Windows infrastructure.
- Automates provisioning, patching, and recovery processes across hybrid environments.
Requirements for the Puppet & Cloud Engineer:
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems automation, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Puppet (master/agent architecture, module development, automation pipelines).
- Production experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling.
