IDR is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join one of our top clients for Waukegan, Illinois. This role involves managing the organization's accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and compliance with policies within a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview for the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and maintaining payment functions, verifying invoice accuracy, and managing vendor accounts.
• This position works on-site five days a week and reports directly to the Controller.
• Key responsibilities include matching invoices to purchase orders, preparing check runs, resolving discrepancies, and supporting month-end close processes.
• Collaborates with teams to improve invoice workflows and ensures compliance with internal controls.
• Maintains organized AP files and provides support during audits and inquiries.

Requirements for the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Sage X3
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting principles
