Position Overview for the Network Engineer II:
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining network infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Focused on Juniper network equipment, with additional experience in Cisco networks considered a plus.
- The role requires troubleshooting, problem-solving, and the ability to translate existing network configurations into new designs.
- Fully remote, with overlapping work hours during the team’s core hours to ensure effective communication.
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently and respond promptly to team communications.
Requirements for the Network Engineer II:
- 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
- Strong Juniper experience — especially important because the first 7 sites are Juniper
- Proven ability to work independently without constant direction or “babysitting”
- Strong troubleshooting/problem-solving ability — expected to bring proposed solutions, not just problems
- Ability to understand existing network configurations and translate them into the new network design
- Experience in data center environments is required, demonstrating familiarity with data center network architecture, equipment, and operations
