IDR is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join an opportunity in Louisville, CO. Position Overview for the Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Lead and oversee supplier quality assurance processes to meet industry and government standards.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure compliance and quality performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to resolve quality issues.
- Develop, review, and implement quality plans, inspection documentation, and non-conformance procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and quality systems.
Requirements for the Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- 8+ years of supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or supplier-development experience.
- Experience supporting Government or defense contracts and working with contract quality requirements under FAR Part 46; DFARS experience preferred where applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to qualify, assess, and monitor suppliers based on quality-system capability, technical competence, capacity, delivery performance, and risk.
- Experience conducting supplier audits, including quality-management-system, process, product, and special-process audits.
