IDR is seeking a Telecommunications Support Technician for a full-time, on-site contract role based in Rochester, MN. The position involves supporting communication device operations at Mayo Clinic, working closely with clinical, operational, and IT staff to maintain and troubleshoot communication systems. This role combines hands-on technical support with collaboration within a team environment, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office applications and asset tracking systems.
Position Overview for the Telecommunications Support Technician:
- Support communication device operations and troubleshoot hardware issues across Mayo Clinic facilities.
- Manage inventory, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate the resolution of technical issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate records related to asset management and technical support activities.
- Work closely with clinical and operational staff to support communication technologies.
Requirements for the Telecommunications Support Technician:
- High School diploma/GED with two (2) years of experience in telecommunications, technology support, inventory management, logistics, or related fields.
- Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and asset tracking or inventory management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team while independently managing responsibilities.
- Basic troubleshooting, hardware support, and minor device repair skills.
