IDR is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a client project on a remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test automation scripts, executing manual and automated test cases, and working closely with an engineering team to build and maintain test solutions for the Research Data Atlas program. This role combines hands-on technical development with collaboration within a dynamic team environment, utilizing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Quality Center, while leveraging knowledge of cloud environments like GCP.
Position Overview for the Senior Test Automation Engineer:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
- Execute manual test cases when required, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with software developers and engineers to understand requirements and refine test strategies.
- Document test plans, test cases, and execution results clearly and efficiently.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
Requirements for the Senior Test Automation Engineer:
- 3+ years of experience in software or test automation development, with at least 1 year of demonstrated technical experience.
- Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with GCP or other cloud environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, or C++.
- Familiarity with scripting languages, including VB Script, Perl, Python, or TCL.
