Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Low-Voltage Technician:
- Engage in the installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of network and low-voltage infrastructure, focusing on commercial technology deployments.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as installing network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, as well as structured cabling with Cat6 and Cat6A.
- Conduct field deployments throughout the Southeast, ensuring seamless network connectivity and infrastructure integrity.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, including capturing photos, serial numbers, and test results, while providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with remote engineers and project managers, representing our client's team professionally at customer sites.
Required Skills for Low-Voltage Technician:
- Must possess an active Georgia low-voltage license and have hands-on experience with low-voltage and structured cabling.
- Proficient in network deployment, including installing and replacing network switches and wireless access points.
- Skilled in structured cabling tasks such as RJ45 termination, patch panel work, and cable management.
- Comfortable with physical fieldwork, including climbing ladders and working in network closets.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with VIP clients and team members.
