IDR is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. This role offers a chance to work within a fast-paced, Agile environment focused on event technology platforms that manage ticket sales, payments, constituent interactions, and operational reporting within managed applications. As part of the team, you will serve as the primary quality owner across multiple applications and integrations, helping ensure reliable customer and operational experience while expanding automation coverage and improving quality practices.

Position Overview for the QA Automation Engineer:

  • QA Engineer is expected to bring structure and ownership to quality practices by scaling automation, improving test coverage across workflows, and integrating testing into pipelines and reporting tools.
  • This role requires working closely with engineering to understand system behavior, reduce defects earlier in the lifecycle, and ensure testing work is clearly defined and trackable within sprint delivery. 
  • Supports a suite of event and transaction-driven applications that power high-volume workflows such as purchases, payments, campaigns, and operational reporting. These systems span multiple layers, including UI, APIs, and backend processes and require consistent validation across complex, integrated flows. 
  • The Quality Engineer will own end-to-end quality across these systems, ensuring reliability of critical user journeys like purchase flows, payment processing, data reconciliation, and reporting outputs. 

Requirements for the QA Automation Engineer:

  • 7+ years in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering – Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks
  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, and end-to-end workflows
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines 
  • Experience supporting enterprise apps with multiple system integrations
  • Familiarity with Agile QA, CI/CD tools (Jira/Confluence, Bamboo/Git/Stash), and Scrum environment experience
  • Selenium, API Testing tools (Postman or similar), SQL/SQL Server, Test automation framework development and maintenance, C#/.Net
