IDR is seeking a Java Application Support Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will provide hands-on L2 application and production support for enterprise applications, partnering closely with technical teams and client stakeholders to ensure stable day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute within a large, complex environment where strong troubleshooting and ITSM process expertise are highly valued.

Position Overview for the Java Application Support Engineer:

Provide hands-on L2 production support for enterprise Java and AngularJS applications during U.S. business hours
Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate technical fixes through resolution
Use ServiceNow to manage ticket intake, prioritization, escalation, and ITSM workflows
Partner with development and infrastructure teams to resolve complex production issues and improve application stability
Communicate clearly with client stakeholders and support a hybrid onsite schedule (approximately 30–50%)

Requirements for the Java Application Support Engineer:

Advanced L2 application/production support experience for enterprise applications
Advanced Java engineering experience with strong troubleshooting skills
Advanced AngularJS experience supporting production systems
Advanced ServiceNow experience, including ITSM ticketing and workflow usage
Strong ITSM process knowledge, including incident and problem management with client-facing communication skills
