IDR is seeking a Data Engineer to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role involves working within a healthcare or public health organization, focusing on data integration, data quality, and master data management to support organizational objectives.
Position Overview for the Data Engineer:
- Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies, and conducts cost/benefit analyses of alternatives.
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems.
- Confers with organizational personnel to analyze operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input/output requirements.
- Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and development steps.
- Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility of requested changes.
Requirements for the Data Engineer:
- 10+ years of experience using Informatica tools including Powercenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, Entity360.
- 10+ years of experience establishing Master Data and Reference data for large organizations; experience with Informatica MDM preferred.
- 10+ years of experience implementing data quality rules using Informatica DQ.
- 4+ years of experience working with enterprise-scale data sets in Snowflake.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field; Master’s degree or 6+ years of work experience preferred.
