IDR is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer I (Night) to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Denver, CO. This role involves supporting the reliable operation of critical data center facilities through hands-on technical expertise and adherence to industry safety standards. The company operates within the data center/IT infrastructure sector, providing essential facilities management and operations services.
Position Overview for the Critical Operations Engineer I (Night):
- Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment during night shifts.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards and industry best practices for critical facilities.
- Monitors, tracks, and analyzes critical systems data to support operational reliability.
- Supports emergency response and system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborates with the facilities team to implement and improve operational procedures.
Requirements for the Critical Operations Engineer I (Night):
- Minimum of 2 years experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large commercial and industrial systems including cooling, HVAC, and power distribution.
- Firm understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers.
- Proficient knowledge of fiber optics, cabling infrastructure, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and related building codes and safety practices.
- Strong skills in data trending, tracking, and analysis, with the ability to rapidly learn and use integrated critical monitoring systems.
