We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain back-end services that power our data-driven clinical and analytical applications. This role involves supporting a research data platform that ingests, processes, and makes research data discoverable, enabling impactful scientific insights. The position is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Requirements for the Sr Software Engineer (Python):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with several years of experience in software development.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and automation scripts in a cloud environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, especially for developing data processing and integration workflows.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and containerized deployment using Docker.
  • Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform, utilizing services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
  • Knowledge of data validation, ingestion, and cataloging practices within a regulated environment.
  • Optional experience with healthcare, life sciences, or scientific research projects, and familiarity with related data standards and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with additional programming languages such as Java or R.
  • Prior work with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Domain knowledge in life sciences, biochemistry, genetics, or biology.
  • Experience working with healthcare or scientific research data.

Compensation Range: $73-78/hr
