IDR is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in Denver. This role supports the finance team of a reputable organization within the construction and engineering industry by managing invoice processing, vendor relationships, and day-to-day accounts payable operations.
Position Overview for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Manage invoices and purchase orders using AvidBill and NetSuite (future state Procore).
- Process a high volume of invoices, including scanning, coding, and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in transitioning vendors to ACH payment methods and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Contribute to month-end close processes and reconcile vendor statements.
- Support process improvement initiatives and ad hoc financial requests.
Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 1-3 years prior work experience in accounts payable or related finance roles.
- Strong analytical, creative thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience with invoice management, coding, and payment routing (ACH, checks, wires).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively.
