IDR is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, TX. This role involves collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support system analysis, development, and documentation within a government-related environment. The position offers the chance to contribute to critical projects in the healthcare and Medicaid claims processing industry.

Position Overview for the Business Systems Analyst:

  • Assist in developing project documentation based on HHSS/DIR requirements, including use cases, flow charts, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with Subject Matter Experts to understand business needs and system impacts.
  • Perform testing of assigned programs, including creating test data, writing test scripts, and debugging errors.
  • Provide status reports on development activities, resolve issues, and update team members through various communication methods.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing to ensure effective system understanding and documentation, including workflows and dependencies.

Requirements for the Business Systems Analyst:

  • Experience with Medicaid Claims Processing
  • Experience in business objectives and problems and identifying alternative solutions
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processing and/or improve existing computer systems
  • Experience in writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs
  • Experience in cost/benefit analysis of systems and alternatives
