IDR is seeking an AI-Native Sr. Software Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role focuses on leading the design and implementation of AI-native features within a software engineering team that utilizes full-stack development tools and AI-assisted coding. The company is a technology-driven organization pioneering innovative software solutions with a strong emphasis on AI-native practices.

Position Overview for the AI-Native Sr. Software Engineer:

  • Lead the design and development of complex, production-quality features across the full stack, including C# / ASP.NET Core, SQL Server / Azure SQL, and React / Angular.
  • Set quality standards for code and technical output, championing AI-native workflows, prompt engineering, and AI output evaluation.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance to improve team skills and productivity.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, proposing pragmatic solutions that balance speed and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QE, and business stakeholders to ensure successful feature delivery.

Requirements for the AI-Native Sr. Software Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Deep proficiency in web application development including backend: C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework Core, MS-SQL; frontend: React (v18), Redux, TypeScript, RTK Query, JEST, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure deployment patterns
  • Proficient with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and general-purpose LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI); able to evaluate which tools are appropriate for a given task and coach others on effective use
