IDR is seeking a Payroll Specialist I to join one of our top clients for Memphis, Tennessee. This is a full-time remote opportunity based in Memphis, offering the chance to work within a dynamic environment focused on payroll processing and related functions.

Position Overview for the Payroll Specialist I:

• Assist in the full cycle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries efficiently and professionally
• Prepare payroll journal entries and review quarterly payroll tax reports
• Support year-end payroll processing, including W-2 and 1099 preparation
• Handle ad hoc payroll issues as they arise, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills

Requirements for the Payroll Specialist I:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in payroll processing
• Experience in payroll systems, preferably with Workday or similar ticketing systems
• Familiarity with garnishment management is a plus
• Professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information, with strong attention to detail
