IDR is seeking a Jira Application Engineer II to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role will support a large-scale enterprise collaboration environment and help teams improve how they manage work across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep Jira Cloud expertise, strong configuration and scripting experience, and the ability to partner with stakeholders to design scalable, user-friendly solutions.
Position Overview for the Jira Application Engineer II:
- Support and enhance a large Jira Cloud environment used by thousands of users across a complex enterprise setting.
- Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement configuration updates that improve team workflows.
- Help design and evolve systems of work through Jira apps, integrations, automation, and self-service capabilities.
- Contribute to platform cleanup and optimization efforts by reducing unnecessary configuration complexity and promoting best practices.
Requirements for the Jira Application Engineer II:
- 5+ years of experience working with Jira Cloud administration and support
- 2+ years of experience with Jira Service Management Cloud
- 4+ years of experience using Groovy scripting in Jira, including ScriptRunner
- Strong experience with Jira Cloud add-ons and tools such as automation, planning, reporting, and structure management
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders in Agile environments and communicate effectively in a remote setting
