IDR is seeking a Technical Support Engineer – Platform Technologies to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Orlando, FL. This role involves supporting and troubleshooting the ServiceNow platform within a customer-facing environment, focusing on resolving complex technical issues and mentoring junior team members. The company operates within the technology and cloud service industry, emphasizing innovative solutions and high-level technical support.
Position Overview for the Technical Support Engineer – Platform Technologies:
- Manage and resolve challenging issues related to the ServiceNow platform for the technical support team
- Serve as the last point of escalation within the department, providing expert guidance on technical problems
- Mentor and train junior team members across various technologies and platforms
- Quickly assimilate knowledge of the ServiceNow platform to provide effective support and solutions
- Work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
Requirements for the Technical Support Engineer – Platform Technologies:
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues
- Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack
- Experience writing or debugging Object Oriented code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok)
- Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle)
