IDR is seeking a Database Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Brentwood, TN or Plano, Texas. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining database systems to support healthcare software applications within the dialysis industry. Position Overview for the Database Developer:
- Designing and ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of database systems
- Developing, testing, and maintaining Oracle database objects based on user requirements
- Refactoring existing database objects to support system enhancements and diagnostics
- Investigating and supporting new technology initiatives to improve database capabilities
- Preparing documentation and SOPs for database applications
Requirements for the Database Developer:
- B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent skills and work experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Oracle relational modeling, database development, and Shell scripting experience
- 3+ years working with Oracle Database DDL, DML, PL/SQL, and SQL languages using tools like SQL Plus, SQL Developer, or TOAD
- Experience with database version control through VSS or equivalent
- Proven track record of leading database transformation and development projects successfully
