IDR is seeking a Security Systems Analyst (GRC & Linux) to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in Columbia, SC. This role supports an organization in the technology and cybersecurity industry, focusing on strengthening security posture and ensuring compliance through technical expertise.

Position Overview for the Security Systems Analyst (GRC & Linux):

• Provide hands-on administration of Linux security systems and tools, including IDS sensors and security patches.
• Conduct technical risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and manage remediation efforts in compliance with industry standards.
• Support internal and external audits by documenting controls and system configurations.
• Automate recurring tasks and participate in deployment and troubleshooting of security tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for operational improvement and risk mitigation.

Requirements for the Security Systems Analyst (GRC & Linux):

• Must be available to work onsite in Columbia, SC, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a minimum onsite presence of three days per week.
• Possess hands-on administrative experience with IT security technologies, including Snort Intrusion Detection System (IDS) sensors.
• Capable of orchestrating deployments of custom RockyLinux/Red Hat 9/10 operating systems.
• Responsible for applying recommended OS patches and kernel upgrades to maintain up-to-date server operating systems.
• Able to automate recurring tasks using scripting languages, preferably Python or Ansible.
