IDR is seeking a IT Communications Specilaist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Lawrenceville, GA. This role supports technology initiatives within a government-related environment and involves crafting clear, high-quality communication materials to support system updates and modernization efforts. The position requires coordination across technical teams, management, and stakeholders, with a focus on accessibility and branding.
Position Overview:
- Develop and coordinate high-quality communications supporting technology initiatives across Planning & Development.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, project management, stakeholders, and leadership to translate complex system changes into accessible messaging.
- Support communication platforms and tools, ensuring messaging consistency and branding.
- Prepare leadership-ready materials, including executive summaries, announcements, presentations, and summaries of modernization initiatives.
- Track communication engagement and support quality control for all deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, product communications, marketing support, or a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical or operational information into clear, concise written materials
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience supporting technology, software, or system implementation initiatives
