IDR is seeking a Data Engineer/Snowflake Specialist to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role offers the chance to work within a government or public sector environment focusing on high-uptime data platform management and advanced data engineering.
Position Overview for the Data Engineer/Snowflake Specialist:
- Serve as the primary administrator and technical lead for Snowflake environments, ensuring platform stability and security.
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from transactional systems into Snowflake.
- Manage platform uptime, vendor escalations, and communication regarding patches and versions.
- Collaborate with team members and attend occasional in-person meetings in Denver, Colorado, when required.
- Ensure compliance with background checks, including FTI and CJIS security requirements.
Requirements for the Data Engineer/Snowflake Specialist:
- Active Snowflake Certification.
- Extensive experience managing Snowflake platforms, including being the lead administrator.
- Proven background developing ETL/ELT data pipelines into Snowflake environments.
- Ability to pass FTI (Federal Tax Information) and CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) background checks.
- Strong understanding of platform uptime management and vendor escalation processes.
