IDR is seeking a Service Desk to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This role supports a high-volume service desk environment within a large public sector organization, helping end users resolve technical issues and maintain day-to-day productivity. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, coachable, and eager to build hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT support setting.
Position Overview for the Service Desk:
- Provide first-line technical support for end users by phone and through ticket-based requests.
- Troubleshoot a range of issues involving hardware, user accounts, mobile devices, and common workplace applications.
- Support collaboration and communication tools while helping users navigate technical issues in real time.
- Assist with device setup, deployment, and general service desk operations in an onsite environment.
- Deliver professional, empathetic customer service while managing multiple requests and priorities.
Requirements for the Service Desk:
- Previous experience in a service desk, call center, help desk, or customer support environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Experience supporting tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, or similar business applications
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, user account support, and basic troubleshooting for devices and connectivity issues
- Ability to work onsite full-time and handle occasional physical tasks, including moving or setting up equipment
