IDR is seeking a Digital Accessibility Lead to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building and scaling accessibility programs within a dynamic organization in the digital space. The company focuses on developing inclusive digital experiences and fostering accessibility as an integral part of design and development processes.

Position Overview for the Digital Accessibility Lead:

  • Lead the development and scaling of the organization’s digital accessibility program across multiple teams and products.
  • Define and implement scalable processes, standards, and workflows to promote sustainable accessibility practices.
  • Partner with design, engineering, and product leadership to embed accessibility into existing workflows and development lifecycles.
  • Build training programs, conduct workshops, and promote knowledge sharing to increase accessibility ownership across teams.
  • Stay current with evolving standards, regulations, and best practices, providing hands-on guidance and audits as needed.

Requirements for the Digital Accessibility Lead:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital accessibility, with a proven ability to own and grow programs beyond audits.
  • Deep expertise in auditing for WCAG 2.2 Level AA and experience reading VPATs.
  • Hands-on proficiency with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  • Demonstrated success in building or scaling accessibility initiatives, influencing cross-functional teams, and working with leadership.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex requirements for diverse audiences and advocate for accessibility initiatives.
