IDR is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Denver, Colorado or Minneapolis Minneosta. This role is ideal for a seasoned analyst with experience supporting large-scale enterprise projects, particularly within utilities, government, or highly regulated environments. The position involves gathering requirements, supporting software deployment projects, and collaborating across organizational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Position Overview for the Business Systems Analyst:
- Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for multiple large-scale operational projects
- Support project delivery by collaborating with Project Managers, QA test leads, and business stakeholders
- Map business requirements to system design capabilities and corresponding test cases
- Facilitate and coordinate meetings with internal teams and external vendors to clarify requirements and system functionality
- Assist with governance processes and ensure documentation aligns with project and organizational standards
Requirements for the Business Systems Analyst:
- 7-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a large, corporate, matrixed environment
- Proven experience gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements on enterprise-scale projects
- Experience working on waterfall-based project delivery methodologies
- Experience supporting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software implementations and system migrations (e.g., on-prem to vendor cloud solutions)
- Proficiency with project and requirements tracking tools such as Jira and Excel
