IDR is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in Longmont, Colorado. This role involves supporting critical network infrastructure in a dynamic environment, with a focus on deploying and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment for remote and public safety locations. The company is a leading organization in the telecommunications industry, offering opportunities for growth and hands-on experience.
Position Overview for the Network Engineer:
- Configure and stage Cisco routers and networking equipment for deployment to remote locations.
- Assist with provisioning network nodes, coding configurations, and preparing hardware for installation.
- Support deployment efforts by configuring, testing, and shipping network equipment to field sites.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and routing issues for remotely installed routers, including public safety and county locations.
- Implement and support BGP routing configurations within the network environment.
Requirements for the Network Engineer:
- 1–3+ years of experience in networking or network engineering support.
- Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment and router configuration.
- Experience with BGP routing protocols preferred.
- Understanding of network provisioning, device staging, and deployment processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for remote network environments.
