IDR is seeking a Senior Juniper/Cisco Wi-Fi Engineer to join one of our top clients in Atlanta, GA. This role is pivotal in managing and enhancing a sophisticated enterprise wireless environment, requiring expertise in both Cisco and Juniper technologies. This role will start onsite for ramp-up, then become onsite as needed.
Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Juniper/Cisco Wi-Fi Engineer:
- Lead and optimize a complex dual-vendor wireless network, focusing on Cisco and Juniper systems.
- Collaborate with our client's team to improve Wi-Fi performance, coverage, and reporting.
- Engage in a hybrid work schedule, with initial onsite training and regular in-office days for team collaboration.
- Utilize strong networking fundamentals to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Work in a dynamic healthcare environment, interacting with executives and adapting to fast-paced changes.
Required Skills for Senior Juniper/Cisco Wi-Fi Engineer:
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise wireless and networking, with a focus on Cisco and Juniper.
- Proficiency with Cisco 9000 series and Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, VLANs, and TCP/IP. Experience in managing dual-vendor wireless environments and improving network performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-availability, mission-critical settings.
