IDR is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Denver, Colorado. This role is ideal for a highly motivated accounting professional with experience in revenue recognition, month-end close processes, and real estate or property accounting. The company operates in a dynamic, high-volume environment and offers a collaborative hybrid work schedule.
Position Overview for the Senior Revenue Accountant:
- Responsible for managing and owning the revenue recognition process in a high-volume environment
- Perform reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Utilize NetSuite to generate reports, run saved searches, troubleshoot revenue-related issues, and ensure data integrity
- Support multi-entity and property portfolio accounting within the real estate industry or similar fields
- Thrive in a demanding close cycle, maintaining accuracy and thorough documentation under tight deadlines
Requirements for the Senior Revenue Accountant:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong month-end close ownership
- Solid revenue accounting background, including revenue recognition concepts, accruals/deferrals, and reconciliations
- Proficiency with NetSuite (reporting, saved searches, transaction review, troubleshooting)
- Experience in real estate or property accounting, or closely related multi-entity/property portfolio exposure (strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to thrive in a demanding close cycle with longer hours and tight deadlines
