IDR is seeking a Program Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Denver, Colorado. This role involves overseeing large-scale, complex technology programs within a structured environment, primarily utilizing Waterfall methodology. The organization operates within the utility or large enterprise sectors, managing high-visibility initiatives with long-term impacts.
Position Overview for the Program Manager:
- Lead end-to-end delivery for complex, high-visibility programs with significant scope and scale.
- Collaborate with IT and Business Unit executives to develop strategic technology roadmaps and present recurring briefings.
- Manage multiple cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and technical analysts, ensuring program alignment.
- Oversee program budgets, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Act as a primary escalation point and oversee quality control across all project deliverables.
Requirements for the Program Manager:
- 7+ years of progressive project/program management experience in large, matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing PMs, running or supporting executive steering committees, and engaging with cross-BU stakeholders.
- Experience overseeing projects ranging from $200K up to $15-20M, with cumulative oversight often around $40M.
- Proficiency with Waterfall delivery methodology; exposure to Agile/hybrid environments is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, with experience working with technical teams supporting enterprise initiatives, including GIS or geospatial systems a plus.
