Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Medical Scribe (El Segundo, California):
- Collaborate with physicians during patient visits to accurately document medical histories, physical examinations, and procedures.
- Transcribe laboratory and radiographic results, as well as patient education and procedural explanations.
- Record pending orders for referrals, tests, medications, and procedures as directed by the physician.
- Ensure all diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescription details are accurately documented.
- Prepare and edit scribed documents for physician review and signature.
Required Skills for Medical Scribe (El Segundo, California):
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Medical Scribe.
- Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Strong written communication skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
